Fortnite is now a safe sanctuary for everybody who enjoys modern pop art, from Bruce Wayne to Ariana Grande. The lineup is practically infinite, ranging from pop artists and sportspeople to film characters and online parodies, particularly now that I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here has entered it. And, surprise, John Lewis is a part of it too.
Fortnite unveiled its own in-game I’m a Celebrity camp and castle, living up to the soap opera. Inside, gamers will encounter scary & pesky bugs, challenging tasks, and, obviously, a plethora of digital prizes.
Every week, the contestants’ hardships and household woes in the actual castle will be recreated in the virtual environment, bringing a degree of involvement to Fortnite that hasn’t been seen before. Furthermore, a virtual John Lewis store with a Christmas motif has debuted. Players can buy Christmas lights at the shop to decorate their campsite and wake up the Christmas spirit. From there, the players can also get resources for their games.
Metavision, a specialized agency focused on delivering brands into the metaverse, designed the campaign. John Lewis customer director Claire Pointon commented, “Gamification and the metaverse are growing at pace and as a brand, we are constantly searching for an activity that will modernize our brand and continue to keep us relevant in everyday moments for our customers.”
He added, “We look forward to continuing this partnership as it develops further into this new and exciting world.”
So, if you really want to do something that you have wanted to do for a long time, now is your chance. Otherwise, you can’t. Fortnite is available to download and play for free for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android.
