Flipkart, India’s largest online marketplace, and IIM Sambalpur joined together to help and promote small businesses, artisans, and weavers on Saturday. A memorandum of understanding between the association and the institute will be marked within a few weeks.

The Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur and Flipkart will use their ability and understanding to create a functional system to help underserved groups develop potential and improve market reach, consistent with a joint assertion, through this partnership, which was presented at the National Handloom Day.

Flipkart executives will enthusiastically engage in this programme by sharing functional expertise, commercial centre and consumer experiences through a manner of the method. Through its commercial centre, the company may also discover opportunities to provide the pan-India market access to merchandise created by entrepreneurs, small and medium businesses, and craftspeople.

According to the revelation, the group has cooperated with various states, including Odisha, as part of the Flipkart Samarth drive. Its partnership with the State Institute for Development of Arts and Crafts is helping Odisha artisans such as ‘Boyanika,’ ‘Utkalika,’ and ‘Sambalpuri Bastralaya’ to sell their products online.

According to the statement, handloom and artisans residing in rural areas may now better market their products to buyers across India thanks to Flipkart.

IIM Sambalpur Director Mahadeo Prasad Jaiswal said, “By combining institutional learning and practical industry experience, we aim at providing entrepreneurs best practices and deeper insight on how to leverage e-commerce for their growth.”
